Blue was the last pup of his litter, the only one not chosen.  Based on a true story, Blue is adopted by a teacher and her family.  He is head-over-heals in love with the Robins family.  Every day is a fantastic adventure!

But one unforgettable day, Blue’s adventure takes an unexpected turn and he is all alone, far from his home.  With time running out on Blue’s survival, the family must work together to find their lost dog.

This book is written for dog loving families.

~a note from the author                                                                                                                                                        A Squeaky Toy, A Leash, and A Prayer is an inspiring story of love, loss, adventure and faith in the life of my family and our young pup. The underlying narrative is relatable because it’s real. There is something about a vulnerable puppy that God can use to reconnect within us places of wounded disconnection. My family and I experienced that. My hope is that through the words and images readers will discover anew their loving God within the chapters of their own personal and family story.

A Squeaky Toy, A Leash, and A Prayer is a Mom’s Choice Awards GOLD recipient having been named among the best in family-friendly media, products and services.

“A strongly plotted ‘dog’ adventure for 7-9 year olds with an underlying message of ‘faith’. A RED RIBBON WINNER and highly recommended.”  ~The Wishing Shelf Book Awards

Judge of the 30th Anual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards             “D.K. Robins created a beautiful story with perfect illustrations by Dima Eichhorn. This delightful story develops the personalities of the characters well. The story line flows nicely throughout the book. The cover is attractive and has a professional appeal for children’s books. As a true story, this is relatable.”
